The #1 plugin for learning any new PVM mechanic is the TRUE TILE plugin.....literally game changer. I was a noob until I found that thing and now I can solo all the gwd bosses, solo toa 400s, solo cox, etc etc etc.

I’m not bad at OSRS and that makes me very happy! I would say I’m in the top 1-2% of players in all honesty. I do lvl 500 solo TOA’s, Inferno, Colosseum, TOB, COX, PNM, all of them, and absolutely have loved every minute of my 3 1/2 year journey since I first started playing! Obtained my first Infernal about 3 months ago, and just received my first Quiver a few days ago. If you do the research on even just something like Infernal Cape and Cursed Phalanx, the amount of people that buy these, compared to those who actually put the time in to achieve them on their own is MIND BLOWING. For every like 10+ Infernal Capers you see, maybe 1 or 2 of them actually obtained that cape on their own. The numbers are a bit lower for Fang Kits since they’re purely cosmetic, but even then, probably about 1-2 out of 5+ people actually obtained theirs in a solo, if not a legitimate group 500, without being carried through it. Many shit players out there though, so glad you made this for them!

Yeah, I set up OSRS just like I play FPS games when I started really getting into PvM (when ToA released). Stuff like mouse DPI improved my game so much, as well as meticulously sizing and placing UI elements and runelite plugins. For your mouse I will say that having at least two side buttons is an amazing QOL. I have one for SHIFT and one for CTRL. SHIFT to drop stuff quickly or click under monsters, CTRL to walk on demand (for stuff like Vorkath, step-under methods like Bandos, etc.) Can do both at the same time too.

Nice vid, but you could pay me and I wouldn't touch kick with a 100ft pole. Also logi justifiably gets shit for their bloatware but any g502 with a hero sensor is comparable to most egamer mice _for this purpose_ (CPI, latency, etc) and is still actually useful for 80% of my other PC time spent playing different games or working.

I don't agree with the client size one, client size and monitor specs aren't in a void, how far from your monitor you sit matters too. Also, g502 is goated, literally can do all content with a single hand, imagine using 2 hands for osrs.

I'd like to add with mouse sensitivity that certain dpi means nothing if your windows pointer speed settings are different (It's the slider just above the acceleration box). 800dpi on pointer speed 4 is not the same as 800dpi with pointer speed 8. Also, the most important thing is that sensitivity is subjective in how it affects your wrist. Your mouse settings should be optimized for osrs, but only to the point you never get wrist pain. Genetics aside, it is not the games fault you get wrist pain, it's your mouse setup and posture. High and low sensitivity can both lead to wrist pain, so try experimenting with as low as possible.

I mostly disagree with this video; I went down the rabbit hole of always playing games with the most optimized settings back when I was more hardcore about gaming and if there's one thing I learned, being comfortable with your setup is more important than optimizing everything perfectly. I play OSRS on resizable fullscreen, with stretched mode on at 50% resizable scaling with 4300 DPI and I have done and can comfortably farm every single piece of content the game has to offer, I was even in the first 100 players to complete the colosseum on release. While I do agree that playing the game insanely zoomed out with a minuscule UI is objectively a big disadvantage for OSRS, the truth is most people are bad because they don't know how to practice properly, not because they're playing with the wrong layout. Find a layout where you can comfortably play, but still enjoy playing the game rather than optimizing everything perfectly for optimal clicks and travel distance. Just because it works for someone else does not mean it will work for you. As much as some people love to stress the importance of having everything optimized to the max to be a top tier player in the game you're playing, the truth is, unless your layout is absolutely horrendous (like the one shown at 6:30), optimizing will only very marginally improve how good you are and the vast majority of what actually makes you good is your mindset; Being introspective, being open about learning, not making excuses, staying competitive, vod-reviewing when you die to find your mistakes, etc. That's the one major attribute most top tier gamers have in common. It sucks to hear because the idea of fixing your setup and instantly becoming better is a lot more appealing, but while it might make you SLIGHTLY better, that's just not what's going to make you a good player.

Mobile players wont benefit it from the vid. for me I play on a 75in tv fullscreen. It's not easy but it can be done

I’ve talked this over with people before but I think of the key factors of why I’m bad at bossing and stuff is the way I grew up. I spent my entire childhood playing card games, Pokémon, and jrpgs. Tons of turn based games, where I can sit there decide what and how I want to do things at every event.

This is something people have to mention to friends who are still at tutorial island - It'll be a breeze to learn the game if you start doing stuff the 'right way' and not 32" monitor full screen mode wondering why doing a 2-way switch is impossible 😂 Solid vid, keep up the good work Tasty!
